A Dogtra training collar is a safe way to train sport and companion dogs. Training a dog is never easy, but it will be easier with a training collar. Dogtra collars can be used to teach basic or advanced obedience as well as field training for sports dogs.
All
dog training collars are completely waterproof, which means that they will work in the harshest conditions. Most transmitters that come with electric training collars are water-resistant; the transmitters with the 2000 and 1200 series are 100% waterproof. All collar models have digital electronics and run on rechargeable NiMH batteries. The batteries, which are included with each unit, are long lasting. There are no external antennas on the transmitters to get caught up on in the field.
Except for the 1800 series, the collars have a patented rheostat intensity control, which provides an unlimited amount of settings. The rheostat dial is like the volume button on a radio and is easy to use. All have constant and momentary/nick stimulation. Some Dogtra
dog training collars have a tone or pager mode that does not provide an electronic stimulation. All units that have the pager function vibrate; it's a good way to call your dog to your side.
The175 NCP
Dog Training Collar is a model designed for companion pets. This model was designed for medium to large dogs that weigh at least 20 pounds. The 175 NCP has a 400 yard range and includes the non-electronic pager feature.
The 1100 NC
Dog Training Collar is a lightweight model designed to provide correction to rambunctious and athletic dogs with a lot of energy that move quickly. The 1100 NC only weighs 4.9 ounces. The range of this collar is a half mile. The transmitter, which weighs only 4.2 ounces, is easy to use, even if you are wearing gloves. One charging system recharges batteries in both transmitter and collar.
One dog collar that was made for multiple dogs is the 1202 NC
Dog Training Collar. This two dog system is easy to use and was made for athletic, fast moving dogs. The range of the 1202 NC is a half mile, so your dog doesn't have to be right beside you to receive appropriate correction from the unit. The correction level starts at zero and increases in a linear chain.
The 1202 NCP collar is the same as the 1202 NC but has the pager function.
At this time, a training collar designed for one dog cannot be upgraded to a multiple dog unit. If you have more than one dog that you want to train with the same transmitter, be sure to buy a collar unit specifically designed for multiple dogs.
The units described above are just a few of the many quality products that are available. Representatives can answer any questions you have about Dogtra units not specifically mentioned above.
