An Innotek dog fence is a good way to keep your dog from chasing the mailman or away from the dangerous road. An Innotek dog fence is easy to install and maintain. Unlike traditional fences, the
Innotek fence is completely hidden when installed. Maintenance is as easy as keeping the batteries in your dog's collar fresh. You will never have to paint or stain an Innotek fence and termites will not eat the fence.
Fence systems can be set up in any configuration. You can give your dog as much area to explore and exercise as it needs. Or, you can use it to keep your dog away from the pool or flower beds.
One model is the IUC-4100 UltraSmart In-Ground Pet Fencing system. This unit is recommended for dogs that weigh at least 10 pounds. The system can contain as little as a quarter of an acre up to 25 acres. The IUC-4100's transmitter has nine levels of continuous stimulation as well as a tone-only feature. This fence has run-through protection that keeps your dog safe in your yard. This Innotek fence is compatible with Innotek's older pet containment systems as well as indoor Zones systems.
The IUC-4100 has a water-proof collar that works even when completely submerged. The collar that comes with this fence uses ReadyTest to ensure that the collar fits your dog. You will hear a click when the collar is appropriately fitted. The collar runs on rechargeable batteries.
Multiple dogs can use this and all other systems. Additional collars are sold separately.
The IUC-4200 UltraSmart Express Install In-Ground Pet Fencing is a system that is also recommended for dogs 10 pounds and up. This
Innotek fence can contain a half acre up to 25 acres. Like the IUC-4100, this particular unit has run-through protection and nine levels of stimulation. The IUC-4200 also works with older containment systems. But, this containment system has an external lightening protection unit for additional safety.
The IUC-5200 UltraSmart Contain N Zones In-Ground Pet Fencing system has the same great features of the IUC-4200, including run-through protection and an external lightening protection unit. This also comes with a Zone disc so you can contain your pet indoors as well. The IUC-5200 works with older systems as well.
The correction is mild and does not harm your dog. Many systems emit a warning tone before any correction is given. Eventually, tone alone will keep your dog away from the fence boundaries. As training proceeds, your dog will be corrected less frequently.
You will have to train your dog to use the fence. Innotek
dog fence systems come with training instructions. Many systems even have VHS tapes or DVDs. Training usually takes several weeks. Don't be alarmed if your dog doesn't immediately catch on; some dogs learn quickly, and other dogs take longer. Patience and praise for good behavior are both important when training your dog to use a system.
