If you have a dog, or a neighbor with a dog, you know that dogs bark. TriTronics also knows that dogs bark, which is why they have created the Bark Limiter XS. The Bark Limiter XS provides an electronic correction when your dog barks excessively. The mild yet persuasive correction from the Tri Tronics Anti Bark collar will stop excessive and unnecessary barking.
Dogs bark to communicate with people and other dogs, when they are excited or nervous about something. Some dog breeds have been trained to bark as part of their jobs; a guard dog that doesn't bark wouldn't be very effective. The Tri Tronics bark control collar will not stop barking; it will only eliminate excessive barking.
The Bark Limiter responds to the vibrations of the dog's vocal cords when it barks. When it senses vibrations, it gives the dog a mild electronic correction. The collar has five levels of stimulation that you control. Since you choose the level of correction, you will know that your dog will never be over-corrected with the
TriTronics collar. Even small breeds can use
no bark collars on the lowest setting. It has a low setting of ½ and goes up to 5.
The collar is lightweight and comfortable. The XS is approximately 1.8 inches wide, one inch deep, and one inch high, without contact points. Both long and short contact points are included with the bark collars; even dogs with long coats can use the bark collar. The collar is completely waterproof so it can be used outdoors.
The unit runs on Lithium batteries that are included. There is an On/Off switch on the collar and correction is controlled with one button. There is a three second pause between corrections; when your dog stops barking, the bark collar rests.
Another unique feature of the unit is the bark odometer. The odometer records how many times your dog barked during the day. This tool helps you to monitor your dog's progress. If the dog is still barking, even while wearing the bark collar, you may want to give the dog a stronger correction for barking. If the dog didn't bark much, you may be able to turn down the correction.
Some bark collars respond to sound, not vibrations. Collars that respond to sound may correct your dog when a neighbor's dog barks. Because the dog barking collar responds only to vibrations, your dog will only be corrected for its own bad barking. This makes it ideal for dogs in kennels, dog parks, or neighborhoods where there are a lot of barking dogs.
Your dog will soon realize that it is receiving corrections from the collar for excessive barking and will stop the bad behavior. Eventually, your dog will not bark unnecessarily even when it isn't wearing the TriTronics Bark Limiter.
